She will speak about how to get published. Such items as the size of a book, photos, documents, number of pages, hard cover vs. soft. If you've ever considered publishing a family history or other type of book, this is one discussion you will not want to miss. Come prepared to learn about publishing and to get answers to questions.
Speaker Bio:
Kathleen Shaputis a book consultant for Gorham Printing, located in Rochester, WA. Gorham offers one-on-one customer service and quality production in printing short-run books. Short-runs are 25 to 3,000 books. Kathleen is a published author of Grandma Online, (Ten Speed Press), with a second book coming February 2003 she is self publishing titled The Crowded Nest Syndrome. Kathleen presents information both from an authors point of view and the publishing side in the creation of a book. She is also the facilitator of the Olympia Writers Workshop, a group that meets twice a month at the Olympia Barnes & Noble.
