March 10, 2007 – G&FH Alumni Association Meeting

Road Trip!

We are so excited about our March Meeting Road Trip; read on for where this road trip will take us.

Program: "Star In Your Own Family History Movie" - Hosted by Inventive Productions

Inventive Productions is hosting an event just for our Association called " Star In Your Own Family History Movie." Documentarian, R.J. McHatton, owner of Inventive Productions will lecture on: Why Do A Biography, Why Technology, Why Now, How It Works; and will demonstrate the expertise of Inventive Productions through real life examples.

Inventive Productions is an autobiography, biography, and history video chronicling company. They accomplish their work with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Ever wonder how a “green screen works?” Be there March 10 to find out!

Inventive Productions is a member of the Association of Personal Historians and has recorded history for Genealogical Societies, Hospices, Habitat for Humanity, as well as individuals. They are an official collection site for the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project, which collects and preserves stories of wartime service to be housed at the Library of Congress. At this time Inventive is doing the autobiography of a much-loved Seattle sports celebrity who shall remain nameless, but whose last name rhymes with torn.

Inventive Productions will give us a tour of their Bellevue facility and treat us to a showing of one of their fantastic (Biography Channel quality) movies. They have also developed a DVD with examples of their work to be given to each G&FH member who attends.

Several of the volunteers have seen their work documenting family histories and are very excited about this event. Inventive has so many terrific ideas! Wouldn’t it be nice to get some of our prized stories and G&FH projects into a video format for the next generation? You’ve done the research; now see the amazing things Inventive can do with it.

Please RSVP to Janice Campbell-Stout by March 1, so that we can provide Inventive with an idea of the attendance level.
